Welcome to the new KCKPL!  We’d like to introduce you to our new look and new online presence. We have evolved and grown over the last decade, and we wanted our brand to reflect who we are now.  After many months of consideration, we’ve chosen a new logo with a fresh, modern look that highlights our identity, our mission, and our dedication to our community. Check out the images below for more information about our new logo!

Along with our new brand, we’ve also launched a new streamlined website that is focused on making it easier for you to find the information you need.  

  • An easy-to-understand menu at the top of the page will take you to exactly what you are looking for, including pages specifically for youth, local history, job seekers, and more.
  • Our calendar of events is front and center, so you always know what is coming up at every branch.
  • Important news, reviews and recommendations, blog entries, and other items of note are featured on the front page and will be updated regularly.
  • All of our digital resources are now incorporated into our regular website – no need to visit a separate site to access them anymore.  

Soon, we’ll also be launching a more user-friendly app launching soon, so you can take the library with you wherever you are.

Logo Story

Things to note about our new logo:

  • We've updated to a fresh, modern typography look.
  • Our name, our identity (KCKPL) is the central focus.
  • The book icon inside the "C" shows we're staying true to what's key to our mission.
  • The colors emphasize "KCK" for our community.

Old & New

Our previous logo featured a book arch along with our spelled out name. The new version uses typography and an icon.

Logo Versions

Our new logo has several different layouts:

  • A condensed version with our name integrated with the typography
  • A horizontal version with our name under the typography
  • A stacked square version with just our acronym around the book icon
  • A stacked square version with just our acronym under the book icon
  • The book icon by itself
