Explore the development of the first segregated high school in Kansas, Sumner High.   Developed in the shadow of a murder and the nationwide entrenchment of Jim Crow, the birth of Sumner became a symbol of repression and resilience for the region and nation.  Learn the story behind the creation of Sumner High School from Aaron Margolis, Associate Professor at KCKCC.
