Artist Statement
My name is Alicia Syomara Granados. I'm a local painter; I mostly work on abstract landscapes. My landscapes typically include personal relatives, or at times, they’re personifications of the story or emotions I’m currently processing. My identity as a multicultural Latina in America is very much explored in my work. Painting allows me a space to be authentic and to find a way to connect myself to a culture I, at times, feel estranged from.
