Program Description

Event Details

Join us for a walk through the rich history of the Kansas Delaware Tribe in KCK. This event is a part of our homeschool student programming, but anyone is welcome!

The diversity of Wyandotte County and surrounding areas historically revolve around the influence of the Native American peoples who inhabited this area prior to being forced to remove to Indian Territory in the 1860s. Chief Linda Graff, great, great, great granddaughter of Annie Grinter, describes the journey of Native Americans to northeast Kansas and their influence on local history.
