In a small town in Southern Texas, four generations of Evans women run the local funeral parlor. It’s business as usual for them, that is, until the town gossip rises from the dead. As more townspeople begin to rise, the Evans women must band together to prevent the undead from taking over their town.
This book had me both laughing and terrified in equal measure. The 90s nostalgia, Southern charm, and creepy descriptions made an intriguing combination that explores familial secrets and the relationships between mothers and daughters. If you love the humor of the Finlay Donovan series and the campy horror of Grady Hendrix, then this book is for you.
