Families are invited to join us for fun, ocean-themed storytimes every Friday at 10 am. This interactive storytime will include singing, dancing, and some great books that explore different ocean themes!

Join us on West Wyandotte's Children's lawn for the movie, Finding Dory. If there is inclement weather, this event will be canceled.

The KC Disc Dogs is a group of dogs and their owners that enjoy playing Frisbee for fun and competition. They have performed for sporting events like the KC Royals and KC Chiefs. 

Ahoy!  We’re getting in the spirit of Summer Reading by making our own nautical-themed wreaths!  Using rope, hot glue, and sea shells, adults will create a unique decoration that calls back to all those summer vacations by the beach.

Help water and weed the garden and share in the produce before we head inside for a fun craft!

Join us, either at home or at the library for Girls Who Code, a program that establish base coding skills in girls as well as empowering them through tech. This is for grades 3rd thru 5th. 

Teens, are you looking for volunteer hours this summer? Join us at volunteer orientation to get started! Volunteers must be entering grades 9-12 this fall and must have an application filled out before coming to orientation.

Video Game Club is back! Teens are welcome to join us for snacks and video games!

Are you a reader in grades 1 – 5? Come join The Friendly Readers Book Club! This Virtual Book Club is just for kids and is a safe space to read together and talk about the books we love. We meet on Wednesdays at 5:00pm via Zoom.

Teens in grades 9-12 are invited to volunteer at the library. Volunteer orientations are required before starting any additional volunteer work. Orientation includes a shelving test, a library tour, and an introduction to typical volunteer tasks.

Together we will explore the history of the dramatic fight to win women's voting rights through reading and discussion of a diverse cast of leading characters that will challenge your current thoughts about voting rights.
