For the month of March, we will be showing movies starring actress Shirley MacLaine. Shirley is an acclaimed actress who got her start during the Golden Age of Hollywood and quickly started cranking out classics, earning a star on the Walk of Fame just 5 years into her career. She was equally adept at comedy and tragedy, working across many genres. Today she is respected and still working into her 90s.
On this night, we are watching Shirley in J. Lee Thompson's 1964 film "What a Way to Go!" also starring Dean Martin, Dick Van Dyke, Paul Newman, Robert Mitchum, and Gene Kelly.
Four-time widow Louisa May Foster sees a psychologist to discuss her marriages, in which her husbands (humble businessman Edgar, blase millionaire Rod, bohemian painter Larry, and nightclub singer Pinky) got rich and died due to greed.
