Event Details

Learn about the Garment Workers Strike.  In 1910 over 20,000 garment workers, mostly young, immigrant women from Eastern and Southern Europe, fought against the oppressive and dangerous working conditions that were the standard for the day.  By unionizing, these workers overcame the odds and brought about tremendous change.
