Astrology – Traditions and practical applications. Bring your birth date, place, and time (if you have it) and get your personal astrology chart.

Julia Thompson a full-time professional practicing astrologer, researcher, and author.

She lives and works in Kansas City.

Julia has been an enthusiastic student of astrology since she first picked up an out-of-print book in a used book store written by a well-known but long-dead astrologer, Grant Lewi.

That was 40 ago and now she is proud to say that after much study and practice she can call herself a professional.

Julia has studied with the best. When Kepler College opened in Seattle, Washington offering Liberal Arts degrees in the study of astrology and it’s place history and world cultures, She signed on for their M.A. program. One of the intentions of the school was to create a standard of academic credentials for academic professionalism for astrologers. It was an amazing program with a staff of amazing teachers who are the most highly-respected names in the astrological community that she now counts among her mentors.

Julia enjoys studying the astrology of a variety of cultures, Eastern Vedic, Chinese, and Mayan but for practical application she primarily uses methodologies in the western tradition inherited from the Greeks.

Julia’s personal astrology chart has Jupiter in the ninth house in Pisces with favorable aspects to Uranus and Mercury, It’s an indication of attraction to all things aesthetic and philosophical. And with connections to the mid-heaven and the north node, it’s her destiny to continue learning and growing and to teach and share.

For the last three years she has been writing a book. It is almost done and will publish in 2019. The book is called The Jupiter Advantage. It’s a big book. Dense with examples and over 150,000 words. The purpose is both to inform and entertain.

If you are interested in astrology, at a level beyond just your Sun sign, The Jupiter Advantage is a great next step.

Julia is also, currently, president of the Aquarian Organization of Astrologer, (AOA-KC). The AOA is the center of all things astrology in Kansas City, so whether you are a teacher or a learner, it’s a great place to network with like-minded souls, share your skills and learn something new.
