Together we will explore the history of the dramatic fight to win women's voting rights through reading and discussion of a diverse cast of leading characters that will challenge your current thoughts about voting rights. We will do this by reading 5 books in 5 months and having an in-depth discussion about the readings as part of a series called Let's Talk About It: Women's Suffrage.
March's virtual book discussion is on The Woman's Hour: The Great Fight to Win the Vote by Elaine Weiss. In this book, journalist Elaine Weiss tells the exciting story about the last minute debates and describes how suffragist ultimately secured victory. The first 8 people to register will get a free copy of the book to keep. Upon registration, you will be emailed the Zoom link for this virtual program.
