For the month of February, we will be showing movies from the 2010s that didn't get as much attention as they might have deserved. These include a small indie gem, a South American film, a Herculean effort in animation, and a less talked about work from a big name director.
On this night, we are watching Matthew Rankin's 2019 film "The Twentieth Century" starring Dan Beirne, Sarianne Cormier, and Catherine St-Laurent.
Toronto, Canada, 1899. William Lyon Mackenzie King (1874-1950) fervently believes that he is destined to become Prime Minister, but to do so he will first have to fight his personal obsessions and overcome the many obstacles he will encounter on his tortuous path to power.
