Special Event Mobile Library Request
Would you like a Mobile Library to be part of a special event? We accept requests for that, too. Fill out an online special events request form or download the PDF request form.

Each Mobile Library is equipped with a lift allowing access for people in wheelchairs or who have difficulty with stairs.

Mobile Libraries have browsing collections available. The collections include books (fiction and non-fiction), DVDs (movies and television shows) and music for all ages. Items can be checked out for a 14-day period.

If an item isn’t available on the Mobile Library but is available at a KCKPL library, you can request and pick up the item from a Mobile Library. Items placed on hold will be held for 14 days. If they have not been picked up at that time they will be returned to the branch.

There are no fines for late items, but there is a charge for lost or damaged items.

Patrons visiting the mobile library must abide by all KCKPL policies. You can read our policies online and find copies on all mobile libraries.

Each Mobile Library has five laptops available to patrons. The laptops have internet access. Each computer can be reserved for 45 minutes. If no one is waiting in line, this time can be renewed for another 45 minutes.

The Mobile Library team strives to provide community members and organizations with access to programming similar to what can be found in KCKPL's physical libraries. As a result, our Mobile Library team will hold storytimes and other programs, such as painting classes and crafts.

In event of inclement weather, mechanical issues, or maintenance, the mobile libraries may not run. When this happens, KCKPL automatically will renew materials for another 14 days. A notice will be put on the website, online schedule, and social media accounts and contacts for stops will be notified.

The Mobile Libraries are scheduled to be closed the following dates.
