Celebrate Native American Heritage Month with the Main Library by appreciating the art of beading. Native American beadwork is a beautiful and intricate art form. Beadwork was used in many day to day items such as clothing, dwellings, and horse gear. Beadwork is still practiced by many tribes today using both traditional and modern techniques. Our take home craft is a simple example of beadwork. These kits will be available via curbside starting November 9. The Main Library hours are Monday through Thursday 9am-7pm and Friday 9am-5pm. PLEASE NOTE: Some of the materials could be a choking hazard and adult supervision is recommended for small children.
