For the month of October, we are showing horror movies made by Hammer Films. The British studio made a name for themselves by updating the Universal monster movies of the 1930s. They launched the careers of actors such as Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, Oliver Reed, and Donald Sutherland.
We will be watching Cyril Frankel's 1960 film "Never Take Candy from a Stranger" starring Gwen Watford, Patrick Allen, and Felix Aylmer.
Peter Carter meets official resistance when he finds that his 9-year-old daughter has been the victim of the pedophile patriarch of the town's most powerful family.
