For the month of July, we'll be showing screwball comedies from the 1930s.  Screwball comedies were a type of romantic comedy popular during the 1930s and 40s.  They used fast, witty dialogue coupled with outlandish situations to satirize social class and gender dynamics.

On this night, we are watching Leo McCarey's 1937 film "The Awful Truth" starring Irene Dunne and Cary Grant.

A married couple file an amicable divorce, but find it harder to let go of each other than they initially thought.
