Weather permitting, gather around a campfire along the banks of the Wyandotte County Lake and listen to Native American Choctaw storyteller and author, Ralph “Little Eagle” Williston, engage listeners of all ages with tales of bravery, kindness, patience, and more. Williston’s stories draw listeners in with action and audience participation. Meet behind the Mr. & Mrs. F.L. Schlagle library (4051 West Drive, KC, KS 66109) at Wyandotte County Lake Park. You may want to bring a cozy warm blanket to cover your lap as you sit on our wooden benches or to sit upon in the grass. It will be a special afternoon celebrating Native American culture!
Families and caregivers are encouraged to stay to chaperone participants.
