Do you love learning random facts and diving into books about niche topics? Are you fascinated by stories about human nature and why our world works the way that it does? Then Continuing Ed: A Nonfiction Book Club may be for you! Each month, the group will discuss a riveting nonfiction book – from biographies and memoirs to scientific and historical exposés. Join us the first Sunday of every month from 2-3 PM via Zoom.

On Sunday, July 7th, the group will be discussing Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain. Please register to receive a Zoom link.

"Quiet" by Susan Cain contends that introverts, who make up at least a third of the population, are undervalued despite their significant contributions to society. Through examples like Rosa Parks and Steve Wozniak, Cain highlights the innovation and creativity often associated with introversion. She critiques the societal preference for extroversion and its impact, while showcasing successful introverts who thrive in various fields. The book aims to reshape perceptions of introversion and empower introverts to recognize their strengths.
