Program Description

The REACHN Program focuses on the importance of nutrition and exercise and gives those who participate the tools to make better life choices about physical activity, nutritious food, and reducing stress. We strive to lift the community and create healthy lives for families now and in the future.

What to expect

The REACHN Program uses an evidence-based curriculum designed to help families:

  • Improve healthy eating
  • Increase physical activity
  • Improve blood pressure or manage high blood pressure
  • Improve cholesterol or blood lipid profile
  • Achieve or maintain healthy weight

The 6-week course is led by a member of the Saint Luke’s team. As part of the course, participants will receive healthy recipes and shopping lists. Program participants attending in-person meetings will also be provided with a bag of fresh produce.

Saint Luke’s partners with community leaders to provide additional programming including:

  • Cooking demonstrations
  • Community walks
  • Health screenings
