For the month of June, we are showing documentaries. Sometimes the truth can be just as entertaining or meaningful to us as fiction. If you are interested in music, true crime, or filmmaking, then these are docs you should see.
On this night, we are watching Chris Smith's 1999 doc "American Movie" which follows fledgling filmmaker Mark Borchardt and his friend Mike Schank as they try to fund and shoot their own movie. The personalities of these central characters have made the doc a cult favorite. It is rated R.
