For the month of July, we'll be showing screwball comedies from the 1930s.  Screwball comedies were a type of romantic comedy popular during the 1930s and 40s.  They used fast, witty dialogue coupled with outlandish situations to satirize social class and gender dynamics.

On this night, we are watching Frank Capra's 1934 film "It Happened One Night" starring Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert.

A renegade reporter trailing a young runaway heiress for a big story joins her on a bus heading from Florida to New York, and they end up stuck with each other when the bus leaves them behind at one of the stops.
