Kansas City Kansas Community College and Kansas City Kansas Public Library partner to bring to the KCK community GED classes at the Main Library located at 625 Minnesota Ave. KCK.

Join us for Preschool Storytime! Stories, songs, crafts, and play activities engage attendees in early literacy learning with a focus on 6 by 6: Ready to Read principles. This storytime is for preschoolers ages 3 to 5 with a caregiver.

It is story time at the Main Branch! Start your little ones on their literacy journey and bring your infants and toddlers in to enjoy stories, rhymes and songs with our children's librarian. Older siblings are always welcome. 

The ability to self-calm is a powerful tool for managing life’s stressors. Learn how to weave quiet times into your everyday life.

Hang out with us for some after-school fun! Cooking club, musical activities, art and crafts, and more!

Get 2 hours of uninterrupted computer time to: write a cover letter or resume, search and apply for job postings, or get one-on-one assistance on job-related tasks.

Kids are invited to join us to learn how to make their own mozzarella sticks! Space is limited, only the first 18 kids will be able to participate.

Kids and Teens are invited to join us for a free delicious, nutritious after school snack every week day from 4:00-4:45 pm on days that school is in session.

Come have fun with our huge tub of Legos! Kids and teens ages 18 & under can build a little on one super Lego project each week or create a new project each time they attend.

We will be making snowflakes with crayons and watercolor paint. 

The South Library and Catholic Charities are working together to provide a FREE Citizenship Preparation Program at the South Library.

This program is for using English in conversation so knowledge of some English is recommended. It will cover conversation, culture and grammar. The teacher will guide the students in English conversation and educate them as needed.

We will be watching Peter Weir's boarding school drama "Dead Poets Society" starring Robin Williams and Ethan Hawke.  The film is rated PG.
